You just can't make this sh*t up!

I promise this is a true story...

My mom, who is retired, works part-time for a chiropractor. One of his clients came in the office yesterday and told this story. The clients younger brother is mentally challenged. He has been living at home but his mother decided to place him in an assisted living home with other mentally challenged people. He has his own apartment and it's a nice little set up for him. So he moves in the other day and not long after he calls his mom in a panic...

He is screaming into the phone, "MOM, MOM you have to help me! There is a gnome in my apartment."
The mom talks to him and tries to calm him down. She explains that there is no such thing as a gnome and he shouldn't be upset. The phone call ends and seconds later he calls back. "MOM, MOM you have to help me. I promise there is a gnome in my apartment". She calms him down again explaining once again that there is no such thing as a gnome. She gets him calmed down again and ends the call. Seconds later he calls back and is still in a panic over this gnome in his apartment. This time she decides she needs to go over and check things out and calm him down in person.

She arrives at his apartment and he greets her at the door in a total panic. He is insisting there is a gnome in his apartment and he takes her inside....

Upon entering she sees all of his furniture blocking the closet door and she thinks he has really gone over the edge when all of a sudden she hears "Help, Help...Please help me" coming from the closet. Well, this time she FREAKS out. What has her son done? She moves the furniture from the door and opens it up and out comes a little person. *LOL*

The little person is obviously totally freaked out. And her son just says "See, see...I told you it was a gnome!"  It turns out that this little person is a Jehovah's Witness. He had come to this guys door to witness to him. As soon as the guy opened the door, he freaked out, grabbed the little person, shoved him into the closet and started barracading the door to trap this "gnome".

LMAO
Ok, I feel bad for this little person but this is funny as sh*t and I PROMISE it is a true story. Can you imagine what was going through that little person's head?
LOL

I shouldn't have laughed, but I did.
True story: Carlos once worked with a Little Person, and she and her husbband--we have since become good friends--invited us to dinner. On the car ride over, I told Carlos I was nervous about meeting her.
"Do I bend down to her or do I pick her up like a cat?"
He was not amused.
"What if I mistake her for an end table and set my drink on her head?"
He nearly drove off the road.
All in all, however, it went quite smoothly.
