Pat Robertson Comments on Haiti

Evangelist Pat Robertson said on his Christian Broadcasting Network show Wednesday that the earthquake in Haiti was triggered by an old "pact with the devil." He explained the story on his show, saying that when Haiti was still ruled by France the citizens got together and made the pact to escape French rule.
"And the devil said, 'OK, it's a deal,'" Robertson said.

Robertson has made a similar comment in the past — "Hurricane Katrina was God's punishment for New Orleans".
