"Little People, Big World" is back!!!!!!
I am so excited!!!!! One of my favorite shows is coming back. The new season of "Little People, Big World" premieres Monday, October 12th @ 8pm on TLC. If you haven't seen this show...WATCH IT!
The show follows the daily lives of the Roloff family — parents Matt and Amy, and their four children: Zach, Jeremy, Molly and Jacob. Matt, Amy and Zach are little people, while Jeremy, Molly and Jacob are of average height. Teenagers Zach and Jeremy are fraternal twins; although Zach is not of average height, his brother Jeremy is.
The family lives on the 36-acre Roloff Farms, located north of Hillsboro in Helvetia, Oregon. Although crops of pumpkins are grown and sold by the family, much of the farm has been converted into a series of playground set pieces for the Roloff children. They were designed by Matt, who spent most of his childhood in the hospital. He has tried to make his children's lives the best possible.
Here are a few pics from their farm...
I want to move in...Seriously! I'll take the bedroom that's in the loft of the barn. Roloff's, if you read this...CALL ME! I'm a hard worker. Pumpkin Patch here I come!

The blah blog
BLAH!
That's all I've got today...
blah
blah
blah
It's just been one of those days. I didn't even take a shower until 6pm and that was just because I wanted something to eat and didn't want to go pick it up with bed head.
On a brighter note...
The new season of "Desperate Housewives" premieres tonight. I'm so exited. Who did Mike marry? I love this show. I am super excited because Drea De Matteo joins the cast. I love her too...She was on one of my favorite shows, "The Sopranos" and then "Joey". Ok, so I am probably the only person who ever watched "Joey" but I had too...I always support my F*R*I*E*N*D*S!
I gotta go...it's coming on...and OH...I just saw it...Mike married Susan...YAY!

On this date in history...61 years ago
The year was 1948 and the world was blessed with the birth of a future superstar...OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN!
Y'all I can't express how much I LOVE her. I love her so much I can remember getting into the car to go see "Grease" when it was released. I remember sitting in the movie theatre so excited when the opening credits came on. I had all of her albums...still do. Every time she released an album I bought it the day it came out. Her music just takes me to another time and place and always makes me feel good inside. SHUT UP! Don't make fun of me! :)
That was then...
This is now...
Still Beautiful! Still Fabulous! Still a Superstar!
Happy Birthday, Olivia!
Love You,

Walking with Dinosaurs
Last night I went to see "Walking with Dinosaurs". I won the tickets through a radio station contest and thought my nephews would enjoy it. I have to say it was pretty cool and I enjoyed it as much as they did. If you haven't heard of it, here is what the advertisement says about it...
Internationally renowned designers have worked with scientists to create 15 life-size dinosaurs, including the terror of the ancient terrain, Tyrannosaurus-rex! Be amazed and thrilled as the greatest creatures ever to walk the earth return before your eyes.
It’s a dazzling 10 million pound arena spectacle of unprecedented size and quality set to captivate young and old alike. Marvel at the story of their 200 million year domination of life on earth. Watch them walk. Hear the roar. Be there as they fight for survival and supremacy. From the ripple of their skin to the glint in their eye, you will know the dinosaurs really have returned! So make sure you have your seat to see the return of the dinosaurs!
So this is our "Archelogist" for the night. He is probably why I enjoyed the show as much as my nephews :) Not bad to look at huh? I say YUMMY even
The mighty T-Rex and her offspring
Torosaurus
Brachiosaurus
They look real, don't they?! They even had Dinosaurs that burped, farted and pooped on stage. Yep, that's right...we saw dino poop. You can imagine how much my nephews liked that. Boys, are all about the farting and pooping!!!!
If the show is ever in your town, you should go. That's my offical review :)

Feel good story of the week
Matt Ziesel is a freshman at St. Joseph Benton High School in Missouri who has Down syndrome. He participates on St. Joseph's football team, but he doesn't actually get into the games -- at least he didn't until the last play of the school's game on Monday at Maryville High School, when he was allowed to score a touchdown at the end of a blowout.
Maryville was beating Benton 46-0 with 10 seconds left, and at that point, Benton called timeout, and coach Dan McCamy ran across the field to ask the Maryville coaches for a favor. He tells the Kansas City Star:
"I've got a special situation," McCamy remembers telling Maryville freshman defensive coach David McEnaney. "I know you guys want to get a shutout. Most teams would want a shutout, but in this situation I want to know if maybe you can let one of my guys run in for a touchdown."
Sure enough, the Maryville team agreed -- "The players, they didn't hesitate at all. They jumped right on board," McCamy said -- and Ziesel was permitted to run 64 yards for a score as time expired.
"It's just amazing how one play can mean so much to one kid and then to a team and then to a community," Ziesel said of the impact the touchdown had on Ziesel and his other players. "The end result, we lost the game, but when we went away, we were all kind of winners."

All about the Primetime Emmy Awards
Is there anything a gay man loves more than a good awards show? I think not! Well, besides you know what :)' How U Doin?!?!?! The Primetime Emmy Awards are this Sunday night and let me tell you, I love The Emmy's! I mean, I have always loved TV and there are soooo many good categories. It's not like the Oscars where they take up so much time on the technical awards. The Emmy's know how to do it. The Wendy Williams Show
Lots to talk about
Here we go again...I'm still trying to find my way on this blogging thingy. What should I talk about? What should my focus be? blah, blah, blah...I guess I will just be me and say what's on my mind at the time.
I'm gay so I'm all about celebrities and pop culture...just call me the Perez Hilton of the south...wait, no don't. I don't like him. He really pissed me off over the Miss U.S.A. uproar. She didn't believe in gay marriage...so what? That's her right. I'm glad we live in a country where people can have differing opinions no matter how stupid they are...lol...JUST KIDDING! I really did respect her right to say that and believe that way.
Speaking of celebrities...did you see Jennifer Anniston on The Ellen Show yesterday??? I LOVE HER. LOVE. SERIOUSLY. She is a friend in my head. What is a friend in my head you ask? Well, if I were a celebrity I just know I could/would be friends with that person...and Jennifer is one of them.
So Jimmy Carter announced that he believes Joe Wilson's outburst against President Obama was racially motivated...I don't! I like Jimmy Carter, I really do but come on...really? I do think that the outburst has everything to do with health care reform. People in this country(especially in the south) are scared that Obama is leading this country toward Socialism. Do your research people. A public option is a GREAT idea...at least to me!
I haven't written much about me lately but I have been kinda busy. In the last few weeks I've been to two concerts...both were bands who started in the 80's(I am a child of the 80's through and through baby)
Look...
Depeche Mode
&
The Pet Shop Boys
Woo hoo!
I wish they had both had a little more interaction with the audience but overall they were good shows. Well, I am at work so I better get busy.
Have a GREAT day

Mary Travers died today :(
Wow, two blog post about celebrities dying this week...depressing! I was going to post another blog tonight and was writing it when I heard the news.
Mary Travers was part of the singing group Peter, Paul & Mary. I LOVE their music. There is just something so pure and real about it. It just brings a smile to my face and soothes my soul. "500 Miles", "Leaving on a Jet Plane", "Lemon Tree", "I dig Rock N Roll Music" and many, many more. However, none touch me deeper than "Puff The Magic Dragon" a beautiful song about a little boy growing older and leaving his youth behind. I tear up every time I hear it. She will be greatly missed but her music will live on.

Kanye West SUCKS and NOT in the good way
I thought it was a joke when Kanye showed up on the MTV Video Music Awards stage next to Taylor Swift, right in the middle of her acceptance speech for Best Female Video for "You Belong With Me." "I always dreamed about what it would be like to win one of these one day," Taylor said with surprise. "I never thought it would happen."
As Taylor continued, Kanye interrupted, saying he thought Beyonce's "Single Ladies" video was wrongly overlooked. "Hey Taylor, I'm really happy for you, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time."
Taylor looked humiliated. I felt humiliated for her. The audience booed him, and gave her a standing ovation.
Ugh, What a tool!

May we never forget
09/11
You could choose to look back on this date 8 years ago with great sadness. It was a terrible event! I will always remember the people who died that day...but more than anything ...I will never forget how united this nation became after the attacks. It was amazing to see the sense of patriotism from EVERYONE. All parties and all people united as AMERICANS! I wish we could keep that spirit always and realize no matter what political party you are affiliated with...we are all united as Americans.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Vs. Clemson Tigers
As you saw from an earlier post...I LOVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL! Last night I went to my first game of the season. It was sooo much fun!
Tech took the field and before the end of the first quarter they were up 21-0. I was feeling pretty confident and loved the security of the 21 point lead. However, by the end of the 3rd quarter Clemson had managed to come within 3 points and soon it was tied. I can't just watch the game...I get REALLY involved...and let me tell you...I thought I was going to have a heart attack. Tech is ranked in the Top 25 nationally so a loss would surely knock us out of that ranking. I didn't want that to happen and thankfully it didn't. With just 57 seconds left on the clock, Tech kicked a field goal to win the game. Clemson had a little time on the clock but were unable to move the ball into scoring position and time ran out...WHEW!
Mmmm, The Varsity. If you go to a game in Atlanta you have to eat at The Varsity. Seriously :) Look at the slaw dog and chili dog. What'll you have?!
Ga Tech student section. I love the spirit!
Hope you enjoy the pics and GO JACKETS!

Hump Day Happenings
09.09.09
Folks, I am tired! I am trying to stay awake but it's hard(hehe, I said hard). I found myself falling asleep while I was watching Top Chef so I decided to blog during commercials in an attempt to stay awake.
Today started out with a little exercise. My friend and I walked up Stone Mountain . For those that don't know, Stone Mountain is the largest piece of exposed granite in the world. It has miles of trails around the mountain but we did the hike up to the summit.
The hike up is VERY steep in some sections and I am here to tell you it will kick your butt. Well, maybe not yours if you're in good shape but it sure did kick mine.
That was followed by a trip to Hop City. What is Hop City you ask? Well, It is a huge beer and wine store in Midtown Atlanta. They carry over 1,000 kinds of beer. My friend Bunny was super excited about going. I am not a huge fan of beer so I was along for the ride on this one.
Then we went to Dekalb Farmers Market. I LOVE Dekalb Farmers Market! If you live in Atlanta and love to cook or just eat...you need to check this place out. They have EVERYTHING food related you can think of. If you do go...get some Farro salad from the deli. This a delicious salad made from the Farro grain with feta, olives, grape tomatoes, olive oil, thyme and parsley...YUMM!!!!
I am super excited about tomorrow. My WONDERFUL brother in law scored excellent seats to see Georgia Tech play Clemson tomorrow night...woohoo. OK, I need to wrap his up. Top Chef is over and I need to go to bed. G'night.
