Farrah Fawcett was not shown in the "In Memoriam" tribute at last nights Oscar ceremony. Why?..There wasn't room! The academy limits the tribute to 30 names, and producers decided Fawcett primarily contributed to television. REALLY? but they pictured Michael Jackson? What has he done in film that was so significant? Leslie Unger, a spokesperson for the academy, explained, "Every year it's an unfortunate reality that we can't include everybody." Farrah Fawcett was a member of the Academy for over 40 years. She was also a MAJOR cultural icon. This is not right! SUCK IT, Academy!
WE LOVE YOU, FARRAH!

I could not agree with you more...
& Bea Arthur. the first time I saw Bea Arthur was in a film- LOVER & OTHER STRANGERS (1970)
You are so right! I agree Farrah was also a cultural icon and should have been included.
If that's their stance Jackson should have been left out, and repelaced by Fawcett.
Oh, the academy and their silly outdated rules!
Of course people are upset that such icons as Farrah and Bea were left out. Would it really have killed them to extend it to 32 people? Eeesh...
I definitely agree! The no more than 30 rule must be new because I've seen award shows in the past that showed way more than 30. Suck it, indeed!
Horse. Shit.
I read that they included MJ because he had been in a contemporary movie.
Really? The Wiz? 1978?
