Kathy Griffin/Levi Johnston break-up

This is so damn funny! I just love Kathy Griffin!!!  If you've been following her at all you know that she claims she's been "dating" Levi Johnston. She took him to the teen choice awards last year and he was featured in an episode of "My life on the D-List" this season. Now that he is back with Bristol, he has broken poor Kathy's heart...awwww!

Georgia Gubernatorial Race

The top REPUBLICAN candidates running for Governor of Georgia have LGBT issues on their mind(but not in the good way). It seems Karen Handel once supported domestic partner benefits and was endorsed by gay GOP group, the log cabin republicans. This doesn't sit well with the two other front runners. The VERY CONSERVATIVE  John Oxendine & Nathan Deal. Check out their latest commercials.

John Oxendine

Nathan Deal

So how does Karen Handel respond? By saying that she never joined the log cabin group and emails supporting issues like domestic partnership were written by campaign staff without her knowledge and by posting this on her website...

UGH! Sometimes it's so fun living in the Bible Belt. These narrow minded bigots can suck it.

I'll be voting for Roy Barnes...

While he isn't a pride marching gay supporter, he did reach out to the LGBT community during his first term as governor. He was the first sitting governor in Georgia to appear before a gay organization and he has expressed support for tolerance but has wavered on gay marriage and adoption. I guess that's better than nothing but it pisses me off that we don't have a truly viable candidate that is pro marriage equality.

I just have some final words for Oxendine, Handel & Deal...from Lily Allen's song, "FUCK YOU"...

so you say It's not okay to be gay,
Well I think you're just evil.
You're just some racist who can't tie my laces,
You're point of view Is medieval.
So...
Fuck You, fuck you very, very much.
Cause we hate what you do
And we hate your whole crew
So please don't stay in touch

I'm going to vote

Betty White, porn & a new toilet. OH MY!

Hey Guys, Hope you are all doing well. How is your summer going so far? Mine has been pretty good. I've been spending almost all of my free time soaking up the sun from a float in my pool. My job is seriously interferring with my pool time though. My parents really should have worked harder to become filthy rich so they could have supported me my whole life. Wouldn't it be nice to just wake up when you want, maybe hit the gym for an hour or so and then head to the pool the rest of the day! That's what I'm talking about!

Do guys ever check your Google analytics? When I started my blog, my friend Bunny told me about analytics. It's just a cool way to see how many view/visitors you've had and see which postings draw the most attention. She told me once about a post she had done entitled "Garden Porn" that drew the most hits she's ever gotten. I wonder if it was the word "Porn" that drew that many? hehe. A few months ago I did a post called "Betty White has a new TV show". I had my normal average number of viewers until July 5th. That is when that post exploded. The show started back in June so I am not sure why my post was viewed so many times on that day. I went from about 40 views to attracting 740 unique visitors/views on that day alone. Since then that single post has now be viewed by over 1,000 unique visitors to my blog. It got me to wondering...If you check your analytics...what is your single biggest blog as far as views/unique visitors?

Speaking of Betty White's new tv show, Hot In Cleveland. Have you guys seen it? I LOVE IT! So funny! You can check it out Wednesdays at 10pm EST on TV Land. Betty White, Valerie Bertinelli, Wendy Malick & Jane Leeves. What's not to love?

In other breaking news...I got a new toilet! lol
OK, it is kind of a big deal...TO ME! My townhouse is about 15 years old. A couple of years ago, I redid the whole place...new carpet upstairs, hardwoods downstairs, new tile in the bathrooms, new stove, dishwasher...and so on. My project this year was to replace my toilets with a chair height version. Folks, let me just tell you...for a person who is 6foot3, the chair height toilet is the way to go. And check this out...Home Depot has a GREAT one that is CHEAP. This is it...
It is EPA Water sense Certified. Dual Flush Elongated High Efficiency All-In-One Toilet. One button for Liquids flush and another for solids flush. It's just a sharp looking toilet isn't it? And all for $118.00. I'm thinking of throwing a # 2 party. Invite the guest, feed them spicy Mexican food and letting them use it. Wanna come? hehe

That's it for now. I'll be back tomorrow for a posting about the Georgia Gubernatorial race. UGH! It should be called GOOBERnatorial...These candidates are making me mad! Until then..

A funny take on Prop 8

If you can, take just over three minutes to watch this video. It's so funny to me and a different take on supporting gay marriage.

Long time gone: 10 for 2010 update

Hey folks, how's life? It's been a while since I posted. I've been busy and just a little uninspired about blogging. It was never my intention to take a sabbatical...it just kinda happened. I haven't even been on to read blogs...but I'm still here and still queer(hehe). Hope you guys are doing well. I'm gonna try to look over some past blogs and check to see what you guys have been up to.

At the beginning of the year I did a post called "10 for 2010". It was about 10 goals I set for myself this year. You can read about my last update here.  Since then I've done a lot more volunteer work(I think I've logged at least 40 hours total so far this year). And...I finally visited Tallulah Gorge!

This place is truly stunning. It less than an hour from house. Don't know why I have never visited until now but I will be back...soon! It was a real workout to get from the top to the bottom of the gorge. And when I say real workout...I mean it! They have a set of step steps built onto the side of the gorge....1066 steps to be exact! No, I didn't count them. It was posted on a sign at the top :)

Let me tell you...walking down 1066 is hard work but walking back up those 1066 steps is much, much harder. Maybe next time I will see if there is another way to get to the bottom without walking down those stairs or jumping. I found out they do kayaking trips there a couple of times a year. That might be fun. I have a Kayaking trip planned for next month at another river in NE Georgia. I'm looking forward to that. Hey, I think that counts as a new adventure which is another of my 10 for 2010 goals. I've only been Kayaking once and it was on a calm lake. You can read about that trip here. This place we are going is a four hour trip down a river complete with some mild rapids and small waterfalls.

I went to see Toy Story 3 yesterday! Y'all, it was fantastic! I laughed, I cried and I loved every minute of it.
If you liked the first two, you will love this one. If you haven't seen any of them...go rent the first two this weekend and then go see this one. They are so wonderful!

Since I haven't posted in so long, I will leave you with this...
